The Accelerated Capability Environment (ACE) framework helps solve digital challenges arising in the public sector. ACE brings together academic and industry collaborators with the aim to discover new ways of improving public safety and security, focusing on problem-solving, experimentation and capability development.
Vivace
Member
Headed by QinetiQ, as of March 2026 Vivace is an independent service, offering private‑sector collaboration and commercial partner that enables suppliers to work with government and law enforcement organisations on complex security and public safety challenges.
ASTRID Supplier Community Member
The Analysis for Science and Technology Research in Defence (ASTRID) framework is the UK government to tender contracts for research development in the areas of defence, security, safety, and resilience. ASTRID is run by Dstl and will be running until March 2027.
Aurora EDP & Futures Lab
The main procurement route for Defence Equipment and Support (DE&S), and other MOD departments, to source engineering services for the defence sector. EDP and Futures Lab are frameworks managed by Aurora Engineering Partnership consisting of QinetiQ, Atkins and BMT.

Member
The Commercial X framework is a MOD programme set up to get ground-breaking technologies and innovation into Defence faster. Neutral Vendor Framework for Innovation (NVFi), a development under Commercial X, is a framework designed to simplify and accelerate the procurement of goods and services, particularly from SMEs, for use across government departments.
DIPS Lot 1, 3 & 5 Supplier
Defence Digital’s Digital and IT Professional Services (DIPS) is a multi-lot framework that utilises several selected suppliers against a wide range of capability and experience to provide digital services to the MOD. ITSUS are suppliers on Lot 1 (Solution, Enterprise & Tech Architecture, Data, Innovation Tech Assurance & KIM), Lot 3 (Cyber Security, Crypto, Sec Ops & Integrated systems), and Lot 5 (Project, Programme and Portfolio Management) with AtkinsRéalis.

Accelerator
Electromagnetic Activities Accelerator (EMAA) is a UK Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) initiative designed to connect industry, academia, and small-to-medium enterprises to fast-track generation-after-next electromagnetic activities science and technology.
G-Cloud
Supplier
The G-Cloud framework is a UK government procurement initiative managed by the Crown Commercial Service (CCS) that lets public sector bodies buy cloud computing services without a full, traditional tender process.
Government Commercial Agency
Government Commercial Agency (formerly Crown Commercial Service) is a framework for the procurement of goods and services for the public sector. Managed by CCS, it is for public sector bodies to tender goods and services above a certain price from approved suppliers. Frameworks included in CCS: CCS3 (RM3764), DOS7 (1043) & DALAS.
Low Value Purchase System
The Low Value Purchase System (LVPS) framework is designed for low-cost, low-value and uncomplicated common goods and services, usable across the public sector, and suppliers can apply to join at any time. LVPS supports direct award or mini-competition (subject to the buyer’s internal procurement policy)

Serapis - Closed for new tasks
The Serapis framework enabled Dstl, MOD and frontline commands to place S&T R&D contracts across capability areas such as C4ISR, space systems, assured information infrastructure, and simulation and synthetic environments, divided into six lots led by prime contractors. Serapis ended in July 2025 and is closed for new tasks from 9 July 2025; for new tasks Dstl advises considering R-Cloud first, and ASTRID for certain modelling and simulation-related research.
